The Turtle House
Our flagship project ‘The Turtle House’ is a unique energy-efficient, net-zero building entirely
constructed using nature’s very own materials like timber and glass. The design takes its inspiration from a turtle`s shell, which affords protection, comfort, and sustainability. Energy-efficient design features:
● High-performance glazing to minimize heat loss and solar gain
● A well-insulated building envelope to reduce heat transfer
● A heat recovery ventilation system to improve indoor air quality and reduce heating and
cooling demands
● An air-to-air heat pump for space and water heating, and cooling
● A rooftop photovoltaic array to generate renewable electricity. The photovoltaic array can
be placed on the ground level as it can be modular
Renewable Energy Sources
Solar panels and VRF units, can significantly reduce a building's reliance on non-renewable sources of energy. The use of PV panels is mandatory in order to compete in the current market and considering all EU legislation.
The insulation and glazing properties of the building envelope play a crucial role in reducing
energy losses through the walls, roof, and windows. The presented materials show very good
thermal properties reducing the heating demand to only 4.8kW. This value is within NetZero
building guidelines for the considered area. The cooling demand is high due to the high window surface.
The implementation of energy-efficient lighting and appliances can also contribute to reducing energy consumption in a building. LED lighting with an integrated Building Management System, mechanical ventilation system with an efficiency of 80%, and heat recovery system should be mandatory in the design of sustainable and Net Zero buildings

With specialization in space planning, mood boarding, architectural drafting, finish/furnishing selection and 3D conceptual modelling, she work closely with clients to breathe life into spaces through form, functionality and aesthetics.
